  2. Meriden Markham Airport – Design Build of Six Hangars

The challenge for Diversity Construction Group on this $3.25 million enterprise at the small but busy Meriden Markham Airport was erecting hangars covering more than 48,600 SF with limited room to maneuver. The project’s success is revealed by taking a drive on the road flanking the airport to the east – if you can take your eyes off the planes landing and taking off. Construction began in earnest on a cool early morning in December 2019 with the pouring of more than 158 cubic yards of concrete covering 12,031 square feet. Substantial completion for the entire project was achieved in October 2020.
