In 2018, Diversity Construction Group received another opportunity to brush up on its preservation skills when it was selected to work on an expansion of the historic Eagleville School House (est. 1837) in Mansfield, CT.
The project included the construction of a 2,200 square foot building and the renovation of 1,500 square feet of space in the existing building. The demolition of old walkways, steps and fencing gave way to a new driveway, parking lot and septic system. Features of the new building included LED lighting, HVAC systems and acoustically-treated instruction rooms. Upon project completion the property was converted into a community school for the arts managed by the Mansfield Parks and Recreation department.
Work began in the fall of 2018 and was substantially completed in June 2019.
